Thesis Submission

For the final submission of the thesis, a scholar needs to write a well-designed thesis. Thesis writing is recommended in LaTeX (a well-known software).

-------
LaTeX Installation:

Step 1: First setup the LaTeX system.
For Windows: Install MiKTeX (
Link)
For Mac: Install MacTeX (
Link)

Step 2: Now install the editor for writing LateX document

Free available editor: Texmaker (Link) or Texstudio (Link)

-------

Scholars need to register and create an account on the Online PhD Submission portal.

Go through carefully the PhD submission guidelines: PDF

Blank Forms and Documents: PDF

For plagiarism check, go to the university library and get a certificate.

(Before going there, mail them your thesis PDF at plag@duls.du.ac.in)

Make four hardbound copies of your thesis and have them signed by your supervisor(s). Submit the thesis, along with all required documents (use a folder) as above, to the department admin office.

After they are signed by the HOD (Head of the department) and the Chairperson BRS, receive them from the office.

Step 1: Create a single PDF file named "Documents-of-YourName" for all the signed documents in the same sequence as given in the guidelines.

(for PDF merging and splitting - Link)
Step 2: In the soft copy of the thesis, update the signed certificates and name it as "
PhD-Thesis-of-YourName."

Now, the scholar needs to submit one hard copy of the thesis and all signed documents (use a folder) to the university examination branch.
After submission and verification from the branch, you are now ready to submit your thesis online.

(Note: Before final submission, the supervisor of the scholar will submit a list of examiners to the department office, or as directed by the office.)

After submitting the thesis online, scholars can download their PhD Submission Certificate from the same portal.

Now, scholars can track their thesis progress through the portal.

Here is an illustration of Thesis tracks:

Reaching the final step indicates that your PhD has been awarded, and you can download the provisional certificate from the portal.
Congratulations!
